Siemens and nVent unveil joint reference architecture for NVIDIA Artificial Intelligence data centers

Siemens and nVent developed a joint reference architecture to help data centers deploy liquid-cooled NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD systems and prepare power and cooling for hyperscale Artificial Intelligence workloads.

As Artificial Intelligence workloads become more intensive and distributed, data center operators must balance performance, efficiency, and scalability with more intelligent and adaptive infrastructure. To address those demands, Siemens and nVent announced a joint reference architecture focused on preparing cooling and power systems for global deployment and operational resilience in next-generation digital infrastructure.

The joint architecture is aimed at helping customers build 100 MW hyperscale Artificial Intelligence data centers designed to house large-scale, liquid-cooled infrastructure such as NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with DGX GB200 systems. It presents a Tier III-capable architecture that integrates Siemens’ industrial-grade electrical and automation systems with NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD reference designs and nVent liquid cooling technology, aligning power, automation, and cooling strategies for high-density deployments.

Sara Zawoyski, president of nVent Systems Protection, emphasized the partnership’s practical focus, saying ‘We have decades of expertise supporting customers’ next-generation computing infrastructure needs.’ She added that the collaboration with Siemens ‘underscores that commitment’ and that the joint reference architecture will help data center managers deploy our cutting-edge cooling infrastructure to support the Artificial Intelligence buildout. The announcement positions Siemens and nVent as collaborators addressing the integration challenges of large-scale, liquid-cooled Artificial Intelligence hardware and site-level electrical and automation needs.
