Mediatek announced that it is collaborating closely with Denso to develop a custom automotive system on chip solution tailored for advanced driver assistance systems and cockpit systems. The companies position Denso as one of the world’s leading automotive technology providers and Mediatek as a global semiconductor supplier focused on innovative solutions.

The joint effort combines Denso’s automotive grade safety expertise and deep vehicle integration with Mediatek’s technologies that were cultivated through the development of Dimensity ax. Mediatek emphasizes that its experience with Dimensity ax enables the use of power efficient, high performance system on chips that incorporate Artificial Intelligence capabilities suited to demanding in vehicle workloads.

According to the announcement, the goal of the collaboration is to offer a scalable, production ready platform for next generation driver assistance.
