Groq to launch first European data center in Finland

Groq is bringing its Artificial Intelligence inference capabilities to Europe with a new data center in Helsinki, aiming to deliver lower latency and expanded infrastructure.

Groq, a company specializing in artificial intelligence technologies, has announced plans to open its inaugural European data center in Helsinki, Finland. This marks the firm´s first expansion into Europe, adding to its existing global operations in the United States, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. With demand for artificial intelligence inference rising sharply, Groq aims to provide increased capacity, efficiency, and cost-effective solutions for developers and enterprise users across the continent.

The company, which counts Samsung and Cisco among its investors, is partnering with digital infrastructure provider Equinix to establish the Finnish facility. According to Groq CEO and founder Jonathan Ross, the move will offer users significantly lower latency and immediate access to advanced infrastructure. The collaboration allows customers to leverage Equinix´s Fabric network to deploy inference workloads directly into the GroqCloud platform, streamlining the integration of artificial intelligence solutions into business operations.

Equinix´s robust infrastructure will enable clients in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States to access Groq´s inference capabilities securely and efficiently. This initiative not only strengthens the partnership between Groq and Equinix but also unlocks new opportunities for enterprises seeking scalable and rapid artificial intelligence deployment. The launch is positioned as a key step in empowering developers and organizations to innovate with cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology at global scale, catering to a landscape in which real-time inference and data management are increasingly essential for competitive performance.
