Elliptic Labs, a leader in Artificial Intelligence-driven software sensor technology, has announced the deployment of its AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform on three new smartphone models scheduled for release in July 2025. The devices—two from HONOR (the HONOR X70 Series) and one from vivo (the vivo X200FE)—push the company´s 2025 launch tally to 39 models and mark the company´s 200th smartphone model shipped since its inception.

The core of Elliptic Labs’ innovation is the AI Virtual Proximity Sensor, a software-only solution that leverages deep neural networks and system telemetry to detect when a user moves their phone to their ear during a call. This allows the phone’s display to switch off and touch inputs to deactivate, preventing unintended actions and improving battery performance.
