Dell introduces pro essential business-ready laptop series

Dell has launched the pro essential line of budget-focused business laptops, offering 14- and 15-inch models with Intel and AMD processors, including ryzen Artificial Intelligence-equipped options aimed at small and medium businesses and channel partners.

Dell announced the launch of the pro essential laptop series, a pared-back, business-focused lineup designed after feedback from small and medium businesses, distributors, and channel partners. Kevin Terwilliger, vice president of pc product management at Dell technologies, said the range aims to deliver a budget-friendly but dependable option that balances security, manageability, and durability without unnecessary frills.

The series includes 14-inch and 15-inch models with both Intel and AMD processor choices. Intel-equipped SKUs are labeled pv14250 for 14-inch and pv15250 for 15-inch variants, while the AMD models use pv14255 and pv15255 designations. Intel configurations start with the core 3 100u (six cores, up to 4.7 ghz) and scale to the core 7 150u (ten cores, up to 5.4 ghz), with 13th-gen i5 and i7 options offered for the 15-inch models. On the AMD side customers can choose from ryzen 3 7320u up to ryzen 7 processors, including ryzen Artificial Intelligence 5 330h and ryzen Artificial Intelligence 7 350h parts, each quoted with a 50 tops neural processing unit and respective core counts and boost clocks.

Hardware and configuration details target typical business needs. The 14-inch models use fhd+ 1920 x 1200 ips wva panels with 300-nit brightness and anti-glare coatings, weigh about 1.5 kg and measure under 2 cm thick, with an aluminium chassis offered for ryzen Artificial Intelligence variants. The 15-inch machines use standard fhd displays and similar build quality. Base memory and storage are 8 gb ddr5 and a 512 gb nvme ssd, expandable to 32 gb and 1 tb respectively, and units ship with windows 11 pro. Connectivity includes usb 3.2 gen 1/2, usb-c with power delivery, hdmi 1.4 and wi-fi 6, and battery options range from 41 whr to 54 whr with 65 w ac adapters.
