Syncro Soft has released Oxygen Artificial Intelligence Positron Assistant 7.0, a major update that extends Artificial Intelligence capabilities across Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer, the Eclipse plugin, Oxygen XML Web Author, and Content Fusion. The release adds support for OpenAI’s GPT-5 family, Anthropic Claude variants, Google Gemini models, and xAI Grok integration for enterprise users, broadening the set of engines available for content creation, review, and transformation.
The 7.0 update integrates the Anthropic Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable contextual interactions between a large language model and project data sources, helping to ground responses in a project’s actual content. Artificial Intelligence Positron Assistant 7.0 also introduces automatic validation and correction of invalid or not well formed XML in model responses and inserted content, preserving end to end XML integrity during authoring. Collaboration features include multiple chat modes (Agent, DITA Agent, and Ask), richer attachment handling for XML, Word, PDF, images and screenshots with visual management chips, and improved Word (.docx) handling that preserves text and image order for accurate model input.
Developer and team features target automation, governance, and observability. The new search_in_project tool lets the assistant search project files using wildcards, regular expressions, and XPath, while custom AI action debugging is supported via an XSpec template. Enhanced OAuth2 configuration options allow connections to custom AI endpoints and identity providers. Teams using the Oxygen Artificial Intelligence Positron Service gain administrative controls such as invoice download and usage reporting for credit and subscription management. The release is available for desktop and Eclipse versions of Oxygen XML Editor/Author/Developer, Web Author, and Content Fusion, reinforcing Syncro Soft’s focus on structured content workflows, compliance, and enterprise controls.
