MediaTek Launches Dimensity 9400+ Flagship SoC With Advanced Artificial Intelligence Features

MediaTek has officially unveiled the Dimensity 9400+ mobile platform, setting a new standard for flagship smartphone processors with a strong focus on advanced Artificial Intelligence capabilities. The newly launched system-on-chip (SoC) boasts support for modern Generative and agentic Artificial Intelligence workloads, including cutting-edge Large Language Models, directly on-device. This enhancement comes alongside a sustained commitment to power efficiency, aiming to deliver both high computational power and extended battery life in premium Android handsets.

The Dimensity 9400+ is architected with an ´All Big Core´ configuration, combining a high-performance Arm Cortex-X925 core running at up to 3.73 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. This robust arrangement is engineered to accelerate both single-threaded and multi-threaded tasks, enabling smoother user experiences and faster application performance across demanding use cases. MediaTek emphasizes that this design will improve responsiveness and processing power for next-generation mobile applications, particularly those leveraging on-device Artificial Intelligence for personalized and real-time functionalities.
