MaxLinear Debuts MaxAI Voice-Enabled Router Demo at Computex 2025

MaxLinear´s MaxAI brings multilingual voice control and advanced network optimization to routers, showcased at Computex 2025. Artificial Intelligence powers user-friendly setup and dynamic QoS.

At Computex 2025, MaxLinear demonstrated its new MaxAI platform, a significant leap in router usability that leverages Artificial Intelligence to empower users through intuitive voice commands. The innovation allows users to interact with their router directly, performing tasks like setting up the device, running speed tests, optimizing QoS (Quality of Service), and even sending system logs to their ISP during support calls—all by simply speaking to the hardware.

The MaxAI technology stands out with its native multilingual support, adapting voice command recognition to various languages including Mandarin, English, and Japanese, as showcased during the event. This broad language capability positions the product well for global markets, where ease of use and accessibility are key. Rather than requiring users to navigate complex app menus or web interfaces, MaxAI enables a hands-free, straightforward user experience.

Beyond voice control, MaxLinear has introduced a new approach to network traffic management. Instead of relying on deep packet inspection, which can be invasive or technically challenging, MaxAI uses trained models to recognize and prioritize different types of software traffic. During the demonstration, the system improved a simulated Teams video call by efficiently reallocating network resources in response to a verbal user command, resulting in noticeably smoother video output. This demonstrates a tangible improvement over traditional QoS methods, enhancing both home and professional networking applications by making dynamic prioritization both intelligent and accessible.
