LG, SK Enmove and GRC sign MOU on liquid immersion cooling for Artificial Intelligence data centers

LG Electronics, SK Enmove and Green Revolution Cooling signed a memorandum of understanding to co-develop next-generation liquid immersion cooling tailored for Artificial Intelligence data centers. The agreement covers joint business exploration, marketing and proof of concept demonstrations.

LG Electronics announced a memorandum of understanding with SK Enmove and Green Revolution Cooling to accelerate the development and expansion of next-generation liquid immersion cooling solutions designed for Artificial Intelligence data centers. The companies plan to pool their capabilities to address the growing demand for efficient thermal management in high-density computing environments, highlighting a shared commitment to integrated approaches that match the needs of Artificial Intelligence-centric infrastructure.

Under the agreement, the partners will collaborate across several fronts, including the exploration of new business opportunities and coordinated marketing to build awareness and demand for immersion-based systems. A key component of the partnership is the delivery of proof of concept demonstrations, which aim to validate integrated solutions and potential business models for immersion cooling in Artificial Intelligence data centers. By aligning on pilots and go-to-market activities, the trio intends to demonstrate practical performance and outline clear pathways for adoption.

SK Enmove brings a background in advanced lubricating base oils and premium lubricants, and has expanded into next-generation thermal management offerings such as immersion cooling fluids. The company is strengthening global partnerships to foster an immersion cooling ecosystem and, in 2022, became the first company in Korea to develop immersion cooling fluids. This track record positions SK Enmove to supply critical materials and domain expertise that support the design and deployment of liquid-based cooling solutions tailored to modern data center demands.

SK Enmove’s equity investment in Green Revolution Cooling complements this effort, with the two companies jointly developing data center immersion cooling systems. That collaboration, combined with LG’s role in coordinating the new partnership, is presented as a step toward innovation in the future cooling market. Together, the companies plan to combine system development, specialized fluids and demonstrations to expand the use of immersion cooling for Artificial Intelligence data centers through integrated solutions and clear business models.
