Zoho announced the launch of agentic Artificial Intelligence capabilities that expand free access to advanced tools across its collaboration, customer experience, and human resources applications. The rollout supports the company’s goal of making Artificial Intelligence practical, affordable, and accessible for businesses in Africa by automating routine work and enabling teams to focus on higher value tasks. The update builds on Zoho’s wider Artificial Intelligence strategy, which includes Zia Hubs for accessing unstructured company data and the proprietary Zia LLM designed for business use, alongside its long-standing Zia assistant.
“Businesses are increasingly eager to leverage Artificial Intelligence but often face obstacles such as high implementation costs, data readiness challenges, and fragmented systems,” said Andrew Bourne, regional head for Zoho South Africa. He added that Zoho’s unified, homegrown technology stack removes those barriers by delivering advanced features automatically at no extra cost, without third-party integrations. The company’s agentic ecosystem now spans Zia Agents, Zia Agent Studio, and an Agent Marketplace, enabling cross‑functional actions like creating contracts from multiple files, checking team availability before scheduling meetings, and converting sales queries from Zoho Mail into CRM leads without manual steps.
Within Zoho Workplace, Artificial Intelligence upgrades arrive in Mail, Cliq, Sheet, and Tables. The enhanced Ask Zia assistant can handle multi-step commands across multiple applications. Zoho Tables introduces Artificial Intelligence base creation to generate complete data structures from a brief prompt, while new capabilities such as keyword extraction, sentiment analysis, and language detection simplify data management and analysis for everyday users.
Customer experience products also receive agentic enhancements. Zoho Desk, used by more than 100,000 businesses globally, now includes pre-built Zia Agents such as the Resolution Expert, which records and learns from support ticket resolutions to improve service quality over time. Zoho Sign adds Agreement Intelligence, allowing users to draft and query contracts with Ask Zia, eliminating reliance on third-party tools and keeping workflows within Zoho’s platform.
In human resources, Zoho Recruit introduces agentic Artificial Intelligence features focused on hiring efficiency and quality. Zia’s candidate and job match capabilities analyze CVs and job descriptions to improve fit, while Artificial Intelligence assisted assessment generation creates complete, role-specific tests automatically. Together, the updates aim to streamline hiring, reduce manual effort, and support fair, consistent evaluations for organizations scaling their talent operations.
