NVIDIA and US technology leaders unveil Artificial Intelligence factory design to modernize government and secure the nation

NVIDIA unveiled the NVIDIA AI Factory for Government reference design at GTC Washington, D.C., offering a full-stack blueprint to help federal agencies build secure Artificial Intelligence platforms. The design combines NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, validated hardware and a broad partner ecosystem to meet FedRAMP and high-assurance requirements.

NVIDIA introduced the NVIDIA AI Factory for Government reference design at GTC Washington, D.C., positioning it as a purpose-built blueprint for public sector Artificial Intelligence deployments. The design provides guidance for full-stack infrastructure and integrates NVIDIA AI Enterprise software now engineered to meet stringent security standards for FedRAMP-authorized clouds and high-assurance environments. New software capabilities highlighted include advanced code scanning, vulnerability management and continuous monitoring to keep workloads configured and mission ready.

The reference design rests on NVIDIA Enterprise Reference Architectures based on the Blackwell architecture and recommends hardware such as NVIDIA RTX PRO Servers and NVIDIA HGX B200 systems, along with NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet, the NVIDIA BlueField platform and NVIDIA-Certified Storage. It also leverages NVIDIA Nemotron open models and other data processing and optimization libraries. Strategic integrations were announced with Palantir to combine Palantir Ontology and the Palantir AI Platform with NVIDIA compute and models, and with CrowdStrike to expand its Agentic Security Platform for federal and high-assurance environments, integrating Nemotron models and NeMo toolkits for autonomous threat detection and response. ServiceNow, Astris AI from Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman were among organizations adopting the design and NVIDIA AI Enterprise for secure, operational Artificial Intelligence systems.

A broad partner ecosystem supports developers and operators building agentic and predictive workflows. Data and model platforms such as Dataiku, DataRobot, Domino Data Lab and H2O.ai are included, alongside vector databases from Elastic and EnterpriseDB. Observability and security vendors named include Dynatrace, Fiddler, JFrog, Protopia AI, Trend Micro, Weights & Biases and Fortanix. Infrastructure and deployment partners listed include Canonical, Mirantis, Nutanix, Red Hat, Spectro Cloud and Broadcom, while cloud and hardware support comes from CoreWeave, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and server manufacturers including Cisco, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo and Supermicro. NVIDIA frames the reference design as a way to accelerate secure, compliant Artificial Intelligence agents and services for federal and highly regulated industries.

IBM runs quantum error-correction algorithm on AMD FPGAs ahead of schedule

IBM executed a real-time quantum error-correction algorithm on AMD field-programmable gate arrays, delivering performance 10 times faster than required for live correction. The demo signals earlier-than-planned progress on IBM’s 2029 Starling quantum system roadmap while lowering costs with off-the-shelf hardware.

Server dram prices jump up to 50 percent as allocations drop to 70 percent

Samsung and SK Hynix have retroactively raised rdimm contract prices by 40 to 50 percent and cut allocations by 30 percent, leaving tier-1 cloud buyers at roughly 70 percent fulfillment. Smaller oems face 35 to 40 percent fulfillment into early 2026 as ddr4 supply tightens and lead times lengthen.
