NAB Show New York spotlights Artificial Intelligence, live sports and creator economy

NAB Show New York returns Oct. 22–23 at the Javits Center with programming focused on Artificial Intelligence, live sports and the creator economy. Keynotes include leaders from U.S. Soccer and Smosh chief executive Alessandra Catanese.

The National Association of Broadcasters has unveiled details for the 2025 NAB Show New York, scheduled for Oct. 22–23 at the Javits Center. The East Coast media and entertainment gathering will convene professionals from radio, broadcasting, sports, live events, advertising, marketing, film and television. Keynote sessions will feature Catherine Newman, chief marketing and communications officer at U.S. Soccer Federation, and David Wright, USSF chief commercial officer, who will discuss media strategy, digital platforms and fan engagement ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Alessandra Catanese, chief executive of Smosh, will headline with a focus on building and monetizing fan communities. The NAB Marconi Radio Awards dinner will be held Oct. 21 at the Edison Ballroom.

New program tracks highlight the intersection of technology and content. A new Future of Journalism track on Oct. 22 will examine Artificial Intelligence and automation in news production, hybrid funding models, niche journalism and community-supported platforms, with speakers including Oliver Darcy, Sara Fisher, Amy Freeze, Thomas Germain, Curtis LeGeyt and Mark Lukasiewicz. Creator Day on Oct. 23 will center on the creator economy across news, entertainment and sports, featuring Lauren Inganamort, Michael Calvin Jones and Sadaf Kazmi. Puff Media will present demonstrations of TikTok’s live shopping and entertainment features to connect creators, brands and partners.

Other conference highlights include a Radio + Podcast Interactive Forum on Oct. 22 that will explore Artificial Intelligence’s impact on programming, technology, marketing and monetization, and a Local TV Strategies session where station group leaders and futurists will discuss revenue, content strategy and tech efficiencies in a program presented with TVNewsCheck. Post|Production World New York will run Oct. 22–23 offering hands-on training for editors and content creators.

The exhibit floor will host 222 companies, including 65 first-time exhibitors such as Amagi, Avid Technology, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Dell Technologies, Evertz, Fujifilm, Grass Valley, Haivision, Harmonic, IBM Aspera, Imagine Communications, LocaliQ, Panasonic, Ross Video, Synamedia, Western Digital and WideOrbit. This year’s Marconi finalists span legacy stations and rising talent, with nominees including WABC-AM and WCBS-FM in New York. Karen Chupka, NAB executive vice president of global connections and events, said the show offers direct access to industry leaders, breakthrough technologies and ideas shaping the next generation of content creators in New York City.
