Cisco is expanding its AI data center portfolio through its partnership with NVIDIA, focusing on infrastructure, networking, and security for large-scale AI clusters. The new Cisco N9100 Series Switch, N9164F-NS6, uses NVIDIA Spectrum-6 silicon and delivers 102.4T capacity for next-generation secure AI factories. Cisco is also making N9100 switches available with NVIDIA Spectrum-4 silicon to give enterprises, neoclouds, and sovereign cloud providers more deployment options.
The company is pairing the switching hardware with Nexus One and cloud-managed Cisco Nexus Hyperfabric to simplify deployment and operations. Nexus Hyperfabric now manages the Cisco N9164E-NS4-O, powered by NVIDIA Spectrum-4 Ethernet silicon, while Nexus Dashboard provides on-premises operations, automation, and visibility across Cisco N9000 Series Switches. Nexus Dashboard 4.2 adds AI job monitoring, telemetry-based congestion control, auto-adjusting load balancing, and GPU health tracking.
Cisco is also extending Hybrid Mesh Firewall support to NVIDIA BlueField DPUs to secure AI workloads closer to where they run. The approach embeds firewall enforcement on the DPU, helping isolate virtual public clouds and block lateral attacks while keeping host CPU and GPU resources dedicated to AI processing.
