AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN to build artificial intelligence infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN will form a joint venture to develop up to 1 GW of artificial intelligence infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, starting with a 100 MW first phase. The venture is expected to begin operations in 2026 and will combine HUMAIN data centers with AMD and Cisco technology.

AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN, a PIF company that provides full-stack artificial intelligence solutions, announced plans to form a joint venture to expand Saudi Arabia’s capacity to deliver artificial intelligence services to regional and global customers. The three companies will act as founding investors in the venture, which is slated to begin operations in 2026. The partners said the initiative aims to position Saudi Arabia as a provider of world-class artificial intelligence solutions.

The joint venture will combine HUMAIN’s modern data center assets with AMD and Cisco technology, with AMD and Cisco serving as exclusive technology partners. The announcement highlights intentions to deliver modern data center capacity optimized for efficient power use and lower capital expenditures. AMD will contribute its Instinct MI450 Series GPUs and Cisco will provide critical infrastructure and other products and services to support the deployment.

Financial and operational targets include development of up to 1 gigawatt of artificial intelligence infrastructure by 2030, with the project commencing in a phased approach. The first phase will be a 100 megawatt buildout that integrates HUMAIN’s data center capacity alongside AMD and Cisco hardware. The partners framed the initial phase as the start of a multi-stage program to scale capacity to meet anticipated demand.

The announcement frames the joint venture as a strategic step to combine HUMAIN’s state-of-the-art facilities with the technology portfolios of two global vendors. By coordinating investment and technology contributions, the companies intend to deliver infrastructure that emphasizes energy efficiency and reduced capital intensity for customers seeking artificial intelligence compute at scale. Operations are expected to begin in 2026, with longer-term scaling through 2030.
