Imagination Introduces E-Series GPU IP With Burst Processors and Up to 200 TOPS

Imagination Technologies launches the E-Series GPU IP, blending advanced graphics with scalable Artificial Intelligence acceleration, featuring up to 200 TOPS and improved power efficiency.

Imagination Technologies has unveiled its E-Series GPU IP, aiming to set a new standard for edge Artificial Intelligence and graphics system design. The E-Series capitalizes on a highly efficient parallel processing architecture, offering robust graphics performance alongside Artificial Intelligence compute capabilities. With scalable performance from 2 to 200 TOPS (INT8/FP8), the E-Series targets a broad range of applications from advanced desktop graphics and natural language processing on smartphones to demanding tasks in industrial computer vision and autonomous vehicles.

Two significant innovations distinguish the E-Series: Neural Cores and Burst Processors. The Neural Cores, capable of scaling up to 200 TOPS, provide substantial acceleration for compute-intensive Artificial Intelligence workloads, enabling the hardware to adapt efficiently across use cases. Complementing this, Burst Processors introduce an industry-first advancement in power management, delivering a 35% improvement in average power efficiency tailored for edge devices, which is crucial for applications constrained by thermal and battery requirements.

The versatile and programmable architecture of the E-Series is designed to future-proof edge computing platforms. By integrating these new technologies, Imagination delivers a solution that allows device manufacturers and developers to push the boundaries of what is possible in graphics and Artificial Intelligence. The E-Series positions Imagination at the forefront of delivering silicon IP for next-generation edge devices, supporting the growing demand for high performance and energy-efficient Artificial Intelligence capabilities in consumer electronics, industrial systems, and automotive applications.
