VSORA, a pioneering French company specializing in ultra-high-performance artificial intelligence inference chips, announced the successful closure of a new fundraising round. The latest investment, led by Otium and a prominent French family office, also saw participation from Omnes Capital, Adélie Capital, and additional support through co-financing by the European Innovation Council Fund.
This round of funding aims to accelerate the production of VSORA´s flagship Jotunn8 artificial intelligence chip, targeted for market release in 2025. As the only European provider in the niche of advanced artificial intelligence inference hardware, VSORA is positioning itself as a crucial player in Europe’s efforts to build sovereign capabilities in high-performance artificial intelligence technologies.
The Jotunn8 chip, designed for next-generation artificial intelligence workloads, is expected to address escalating demand for sophisticated inference solutions in fields such as data centers, automotive applications, and edge computing. The investment is intended to support final development phases, scale manufacturing processes, and facilitate product launch activities in anticipation of rapid market adoption. By bolstering its position through this new funding, VSORA reinforces both its technological leadership and Europe’s competitiveness in the global artificial intelligence hardware sector.
