NVIDIA and MediaTek Set to Reveal N1X Arm-Based AI PC Processors at Computex 2025

NVIDIA and MediaTek will introduce next-generation Arm-based Artificial Intelligence PC processors, N1X and N1, at Computex 2025—promising a new class of Windows on Arm devices.

NVIDIA and MediaTek are reportedly planning to unveil their collaborative efforts on Arm-based PC processors, codenamed N1X and N1, at Computex 2025. These chips are designed to target Artificial Intelligence-powered PCs and will combine MediaTek-designed CPUs with Arm architecture and NVIDIA’s GPU cores, bringing together the CPU and GPU strengths of both companies for the next wave of Windows on Arm laptops.

The official reveal is expected during Computex 2025, with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai each delivering keynote presentations one day apart, underscoring the significance of this partnership. Early information suggests the processors will feature between 8 to 12 Arm CPU cores and will be available with 16GB to 32GB of RAM, placing them in direct competition with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series and other contenders in the Arm-based Artificial Intelligence PC market. The anticipated launch window is CES 2026, marking these products as next-generation solutions for a rapidly evolving PC landscape.

This collaboration follows NVIDIA’s recent introduction of the GB10 chip for mini Artificial Intelligence workstations. The forthcoming N1X and N1 products are believed to be optimized variants of GB10, streamlined for consumer laptop and desktop segments. Despite previous technical hurdles that delayed development, NVIDIA and MediaTek are now poised to offer high-performance options for running Artificial Intelligence workloads natively on Windows on Arm devices. The move is expected to address concerns over software and gaming emulation on Arm versus x86 architectures, as NVIDIA’s GPU technology aims to bridge current performance gaps and set a new standard for Artificial Intelligence-centric computing experiences.
