NTT has introduced a pioneering chip enabling real-time 4K Artificial Intelligence inference at the edge, promising rapid processing for next-generation applications.

NTT has announced the debut of the world´s first large-scale integration (LSI) chip engineered specifically for Artificial Intelligence inference that can process real-time 4K video feeds directly at the network edge. This next-generation chip is designed to address the rapidly growing demand for efficient, low-latency Artificial Intelligence computations in edge computing scenarios, such as smart cameras, autonomous vehicles, surveillance systems, and industrial automation, where sending massive amounts of high-resolution data to the cloud is impractical due to bandwidth and latency concerns.
