Intuit Introduces Small Business Growth Council in UK

Intuit launches a new initiative in the UK to boost small businesses via Artificial Intelligence and digital tools adoption.

Intuit has announced the launch of the Intuit Small Business Growth Council, a new initiative dedicated to empowering small businesses in the UK through AI and digital adoption.

The Council consists of 18 digitally-connected businesses, and the hope is they will amplify the voices of small businesses in shaping policies and drive innovation and economic growth.

Intuit launched a similar initiative in the US, which has helped drive meaningful policy changes. The US Council’s advocacy led to the introduction of the Small Business Technological Innovation Act (S.305). The bipartisan legislation would make explicit that loans backed by the US Small Business Administration (SBA) can be used to fund the adoption of digital tools and technology by small businesses.

Intuit’s new Council will focus on three primary objectives: driving digital adoption, simplifying business administration, and democratizing access to AI. The Council aims to help more small businesses embrace digital tools by addressing barriers such as cost and complexity, streamline tax processes and reduce administrative burdens, and ensure small businesses are not left behind in the AI revolution.

Sasan Goodarzi, CEO of Intuit, expresses enthusiasm about bridging the gap between policy and the needs of small UK entrepreneurs, emphasizing the role of data and AI in automating tasks and boosting business growth.
