Framework Unveils AI-Powered Mini PC Cluster and Customizable Laptops at Computex 2025

Framework introduces a compact Artificial Intelligence mini PC cluster and modular laptops at Computex 2025, targeting edge computing, labs, and businesses.

At Computex 2025 in Taipei, Framework Computer drew industry attention by showcasing a novel cluster of mini PCs purpose-built for Artificial Intelligence workloads. Each of the Framework Desktop units, with a compact 4.5-liter form factor, is powered by AMD´s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which includes 16 Zen 5 cores running at speeds up to 5.1 GHz and a Radeon 8060S graphics solution. With support for up to 128 GB of unified LPDDR5x memory, these desktops are engineered to handle intensive inference tasks at the edge.

Four of these Framework Desktop PCs were presented in a 10-inch half-rack enclosure, forming a scalable cluster capable of delivering up to 200 tera-operations per second (TOPS) of on-device Artificial Intelligence computation through their integrated XDNA 2 neural processing units. This performance can be further enhanced when factoring in the Radeon 8060S. The rack system integrates modern connectivity, including Wi-Fi 7 and 5 GbE networking, and employs modular expansion card slots, allowing users to customize the available ports to suit specific deployment requirements.

By marrying high efficiency, low power consumption, effective cooling, and user-serviceable design, Framework´s cluster targets organizations needing powerful yet manageable Artificial Intelligence systems outside of traditional data centers.
