Apple creator studio is a new subscription service that groups together professional and consumer creative tools for video, music and imaging, along with upgraded productivity features across Apple’s document and presentation apps. Subscribers get access to Final Cut Pro for video editing, Pixelmator Pro for image editing and design, Logic Pro for music production, and intelligent capabilities and premium content in Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform. The bundle is positioned as a single subscription that supports everything from social media graphics and billboards to cinematic video projects and full music productions, with family sharing available for up to five additional people on standard plans.
Apple says Apple creator studio will be available starting January 28th. New subscribers receive 1 month free before the standard plan renews at 12.99 per month or 129 per year after your free trial. Students and educators also receive 1 month free, and their plan automatically renews at 2.99 per month or 29.99 per year after your free trial. Customers who purchase a new iPad or Mac can try Apple creator studio with 3 months free, after which new and qualified returning subscribers have the plan renew at 12.99/month or 129/year based on plan selected. Apple notes that these offers are limited to new or qualified returning subscribers, subject to verification for education discounts, and automatically renew until cancelled.
Within the bundle, Final Cut Pro on Mac and iPad focuses on fast, precise editing supported by tools like the Magnetic Timeline, Multicam, Auditions, Visual Search and Transcript Search, as well as Final Cut Camera on iPhone for capture and Compressor for export customization. Pixelmator Pro emphasizes intelligent automation for tasks such as background removal, image repair and color adjustment, plus robust layering, typography controls and touch optimization on iPad. Logic Pro introduces intelligent Session Players that act as a virtual band, along with Stem Splitter, Mastering Assistant, beat making tools and a large royalty free sound library, and it syncs with Voice Memos across Apple devices. Productivity apps gain premium templates, a curated content hub with photos and graphics, advanced image creation with Super Resolution and Auto Crop, Magic Fill in Numbers for suggested contents or formulas, and new artificial intelligence powered slide generation, note creation and layout cleanup in Keynote.
Apple clarifies that Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform remain free for all users, with the subscription unlocking additional templates, content libraries and powerful intelligence features. Projects created with an active Apple creator studio subscription, including images from the content hub, remain licensed within the original creation even if a subscription ends, and existing standalone purchases of Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, MainStage, Motion and Compressor continue to function and stay available for one time purchase and redownload. Technical requirements specify recent versions of macOS, iPadOS, iOS and visionOS, Apple silicon based Macs for select features, and Apple Intelligence capable hardware for some artificial intelligence functions. Apple also notes that some artificial intelligence features in Apple creator studio utilize third party models with usage limits and restrictions, and that educator and student subscriptions are individual only and cannot be shared through family sharing.
