Nebius announces Artificial Intelligence innovation awards for cancer, protein and diagnostics breakthroughs

Nebius awards leading companies for transformative innovations in cancer prediction, protein targeting and precision diagnostics using Artificial Intelligence.

Nebius, a global cloud computing provider, held its inaugural Artificial Intelligence Discovery Awards in Amsterdam, spotlighting outstanding advancements in the application of Artificial Intelligence to life sciences and drug discovery. Four pioneering companies received top prizes in the form of GPU credits, recognising their novel work in cancer prediction, protein targeting, transcriptomic mapping and precision diagnostics. The awards program underscores the expanding role of Artificial Intelligence in expediting discovery and development across biomedicine.

The winners were chosen from a competitive pool of 257 international applicants. An independent panel of 19 judges, comprising experts from major pharmaceutical firms and research institutions, evaluated entries through rigorous criteria. Each of the winning projects harnesses Artificial Intelligence to address complex biological problems: from predicting cancer development, designing and targeting functional proteins, mapping transcriptomic profiles for disease understanding, to refining diagnostic precision at the molecular level. The winners´ achievements highlight the impact of sophisticated computational models and large-scale data analytics in unlocking new frontiers in health and disease intervention.

The Nebius awards ceremony signals an uptick in industry collaboration and investment around transformative Artificial Intelligence technologies. As the selected projects move forward, recipients will leverage not only GPU credits but the added visibility and expert connections derived from the event. Nebius aims to accelerate the commercialisation and clinical impact of Artificial Intelligence-powered discoveries, reinforcing the importance of continued support for startups and researchers operating at the intersection of computation and drug discovery. This awards program reflects the ongoing momentum toward smarter, faster solutions for some of medicine´s greatest challenges.
