Google Launches 10 Free Artificial Intelligence Courses to Empower Learners

Google is offering ten online courses in Artificial Intelligence, covering generative models, responsible practices, and key tools, all free of charge.

Google has unveiled a suite of ten free online courses designed to equip individuals with essential skills in generative Artificial Intelligence. This initiative aims to foster greater understanding of Artificial Intelligence technologies, as generative models reshape innovation across industries. The offerings are part of Google´s commitment to making cutting-edge knowledge accessible to a wide audience, reflecting the growing need for proficiency in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.

The curriculum addresses foundational topics, including an ´Introduction to Generative AI,´ which covers core concepts, differentiates generative models from traditional machine learning, and introduces Google´s suite of developer tools. Additional courses such as ´Introduction to Large Language Models´ and ´Introduction to Responsible AI´ explore the capabilities and ethical considerations of Artificial Intelligence, with attention given to Google´s own AI principles. Learners can further their expertise through specialized modules on image generation using diffusion models, encoder-decoder architectures, attention mechanisms, transformer and BERT models, and building image captioning systems. The full list includes: Introduction to Generative AI, Introduction to Large Language Models, Introduction to Responsible AI, Generative AI Fundamentals, Introduction to Image Generation, Encoder-Decoder Architecture, Attention Mechanism, Transformer Models and BERT Model, Create Image Captioning Models, and Introduction to Generative AI Studio on Vertex AI.

The courses, generally structured as concise microlearning sessions, are accessible via Google Cloud Skills Boost and require no payment. Upon completion, participants earn a Google Cloud ´Completion Badge,´ showcasing their mastery of generative Artificial Intelligence concepts. By lowering the barrier to entry, Google is supporting professionals and enthusiasts alike in seizing new opportunities presented by Artificial Intelligence innovation. The company’s initiative underscores the broader push for accessible tech education as Artificial Intelligence continues to transform the global technology landscape.
