NVIDIA has announced a significant collaboration with several European countries and industry leaders to implement NVIDIA Blackwell artificial intelligence infrastructure across the continent. Nations such as France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom are spearheading this initiative, joining forces with technology and cloud providers like Domyn, Mistral AI, Nebius, and Nscale. Key telecommunications partners including Orange, Swisscom, Telefónica, and Telenor are also on board, forming a robust ecosystem to drive local technological advancement.
These ambitious deployments are expected to deliver over 3,000 exaflops of NVIDIA Blackwell computing power dedicated to sovereign artificial intelligence projects. The massive infrastructure will empower a wide range of European stakeholders, from enterprises and startups to public sector bodies, with the secure capacity to develop, train, and deploy both agentic and physical artificial intelligence applications within their own borders. This move is designed to enable greater digital sovereignty while accelerating economic growth and innovation across the region.
Further amplifying its commitment, NVIDIA is establishing and expanding artificial intelligence technology centers in strategic locations including Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Finland. These centers will build upon the company’s longstanding collaborations with academia and industry through initiatives such as the NVIDIA AI Technology Center program and the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute. The goal is to cultivate the next generation of artificial intelligence professionals and drive scientific discovery, strengthening Europe’s position in the global artificial intelligence landscape.
